STP singer solo, a suburban Little Big Town, plus Rihanna shines bright like a diamond
Monday, March 18, 2013
STP singer solo: He may not be touring with Stone Temple Pilots at the moment, but singer Scott Weiland is still channeling the band's spirit on his current solo tour. The one time Velvet Revolver leader promises two STP albums from front to back in the form of "Core" and "Purple," which collectively feature grunge-era classics like "Sex Type Thing," "Plush," "Interstate Love Song" and "Big Empty." Tuesday, March 19 at House of Blues: www.livenation.com.
A suburban Little Big Town: As far as commercial country goes, Little Big Town can always be counted on for a consistent, radio ready blend of southern-fried arena rockers and booming ballads. That formula once again continues throughout "Tornado," which despite its predictable nature, manages to yield an infectious outpouring sure to give Lady Antebellum plenty of competition amongst the cowboy hat crowd. Thursday, March 21 at Rialto Square Theatre: www.rialtosquare.com.
Rihanna shines bright like a diamond: Even with a slew of similar female competition, Rihanna continues to climb the pop ladder with her blockbuster new project "Unapologetic." She's sure to be shining bright like a diamond with past and present dance floor fillers like "We Found Love," "Don't Stop The Music," "Only Girl (In The World)" and "Rude Boy," sure to all be adorned with arena-filling production. Friday, March 22 at United Center: www.livenation.com.
