Emmylou's entire "Wrecking Ball," Legend all acoustic, plus an ultra rare Wings flight
Monday, April 7, 2014
Emmylou's entire "Wrecking Ball": There are so many classic albums in Emmylou Harris' canon, but in terms of the last two decades, 1995's career redefining "Wrecking Ball" is amongst her most treasured. Not only does the recently reissued album score center spotlight on the road, but that album's original producer Daniel Lanois (also a frequent U2 collaborator) performs in the multi-generational country/folk favorite's seasoned band. Tuesday, April 8 at Vic Theatre: www.jamusa.com.
Legend all acoustic: Riding high off his groundbreaking collaboration with The Roots, John Legend is back to the solo ranks touring behind his fourth studio project "Love In The Future." But rather than bringing all the bling, the nine time Grammy Award winner who's currently tearing up the charts with the gorgeous "All Of Me" is stripping down for this special show, which in addition to his soulful stylings, will feature guitar, vocal and string quartet accompaniment. Wednesday, April 9 at Cadillac Palace Theatre: www.jamusa.com.
An ultra rare Wings flight: He's been a member of The Moody Blues and Ginger Baker's Air Force, but Denny Laine still scores the most recognition from his extensive time in Wings (Paul McCartney's other band). Don't miss this incredibly rare opportunity to see the British legend in America where he's slated to deliver a storytellers show sure to be stacked with hits and history. Saturday, April 12 at Reggies: www.reggieslive.com.
