Story by Kathryn Randall Mingling and networking aside, the real reason everyone packed out the concert club was to catch all the GRAMMY action in a big screen broadcast piped through the venue's booming sound system. And performance wise, there was plenty to take in, from Beyonce and her hubby Jay Z getting steamy on the show opener "Drunk In Love," to the reunion of longtime Beatles mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on Sir Paul's new "Queenie Eye," to an acrobatic Pink spinning Cirque du Soleil style during "Try" before flexing her vocal muscles alongside Fun's Nate Reuss on "Just Give Me A Reason." If the evening could be summarized into a single theme, it was once in a lifetime collaborations, which also included Chicago mashing up its classic "Saturday In The Park" with Robin Thicke's current club staple "Blurred Lines." Daft Punk scored some help from Williams, Stevie Wonder and Nile Rodgers on their fellow dance smash "Get Lucky," while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (accompanied by Mary Lambert) pulled a stunner by having 33 couples tie the knot to "Same Love" as Queen Latifah officiated and a glistening Madonna saluted them with a snippet of "Open Your Heart." In terms of the winners, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis tied with Daft Punk and their producer Pharrell Williams for four wins apiece (including the former's "Best New Artist" and the French duo's "Album Of The Year"), while newcomer Lorde also picked up two trophies (including "Song Of The Year").
