To celebrate the life and legacy of Michael Jackson, the city of Gary rolled out the red carpet on the anniversary of his passing. In addition to unveiling a monument and planting a tree in the front yard of his childhood home, several family members, friends and fans were on hand to pay their respects. The lengthy list of prominent faces included his mother Katherine Jackson, her granddaughter, Genevieve Jackson (daughter of Randy Jackson), Mayor Rudy Clay, Judge Greg Mathis and comedian/actor Eddie Griffin, all of whom shared memories about the late great legend in front of the historic residence.
