This was show number 66 for the 2015 Last Comic Standing tour. Forget the jokes that you heard on the show because the jokes got dirtied down and Tucson loved it. The tour is an extension of the TV show and the house was packed!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Last Comic Standing, it is NBC's popular summer competition show where a hundred of the country's stand up comics competed for the top spot to win $250,000 and a chance to get a starring role in a future sit-com. The judges were Roseanne Barr, Keenen Wayans, and Norm MacDonald this season. They picked the winners and not the public. These were the top five contestants who made it to the end. The show has spawned comic stars such as Amy Schumer and Kathleen Madigan.

It is difficult to write a review without giving any spoilers on the jokes. There are advantages and disadvantages to seeing the show late in the tour. The advantages are obviously the comics have had an opportunity to perfect their routines and throw out jokes that don't work and write new material while on the road. The disadvantages are that the performers tend to get road weary. It has been a long year and sometime tensions can become evident as they tire of the grind.

Andy Erikson was the first comic up. She had the most quirky brand of comedy and timing. This was popular on the show, but it took her a few minutes into her set to get her footing. However once she got going, her self-depreciating jokes were fresh and hilarious. Hopefully she will keep the 'hands' routine in her set.

Ian Bagg took the stage and he was on fire! He fearlessly kept the jokes coming in rapid succession to the point that you had to catch your breath, from laughing so much. He was wickedly nasty and Tucson seemed to love it!

Dominique was the 'tell-it-like it is' comic. She was a standout from the TV series, but this night was not her best. The seasoned comedienne is one of the most entertaining storytellers in comedy. She started as a mail handler on the night shift. Her life changed quickly when she got fired and hired to perform on 'Richard Simmons' Def Comedy Jam. Her comedy routines center around what she experiences and her comedy rings of authenticity.

Michael Palascak was a favorite on the show. His routine was smart, affable and charismatic with a lot of social innuendo in his routine. He stayed in the PG-13 path during his routine. That said, his routine still caught the fans off guard and kept the crowd laughing.

Finally, the 2015 winner, Clayton English, ferociously hit the stage. He is still high off of being the winner of this season. He was another very charismatic comic with superb stories and comedic timing that was off the charts. When he was asked about the starring role in a comedy, Clayton said he would be meeting with writers after the first of the year to discuss story lines and "see what we can come up with. It is all about the writing."

There are more dates coming up for the tour. They are going to California and the tour ends with dates in Hawaii mid-December. Catch them if you can because it is a raucously fun evening!
