I Mom So Hard is to mothers as Miranda Sings is to tweens and teens. Both comic entities became viral sensations from posting videos on YouTube and both have a rabid fan base that love to escape their daily routines with a night out with people of common interest and life experiences.

AVA Amphitheatre sponsored a night of hilarious comedy from #IMOMSOHARD composed of the comedy team of Kristen Hemsley and Jen Smedley in Tucson. Who knew they would attract so many women of all ages and backgrounds in one outdoor space. There were a few men in the crowd of women, but you had to look for them.

The Nebraska natives soon realized after they met that they shared a slightly different sense of humor. Not long after they started their families, they got together and shared that they both felt like they were doing a terrible job at motherhood. Their conversations evolved into comedy routines that were shared on the internet.

This led to a comedy live show. I Mom So Hard gets down to the nitty-gritty of motherhood and marriage fast. The stage was bare except for two cushy chairs and table adorned with liquid refreshments and a couple of glasses. It's nice to have a couple of drinks with a crowd of fans. The night consisted of two acts. The show often goes off script with improvisations fed from the irreverent subjects at hand and feedback from their fans. Hemsley and Smedley are very good at what they do.

The show starts with some video clips from their You Tube channel just in case you have not seen any of them. They irreverently poke fun at subjects from their bodies after birth, wearing swimsuits, their vaginas, men's penises, their uterus, breasts, and any body part that is affected by pregnancy. They use physical comedy to get their points across to the crowd.

If you are expecting a dainty presentation of these subjects because they are women, think again. They do not tip toe around any subject presented. Think of the delivery of Eddie Murphy in his heyday or today's Joey Diaz on his slinging dick tour. This is the Comic-Con of motherhood and womanhood.

Spoiler alert! If you don't want the entire audience to know what is in your purse, don't sit close to the stage. It will be revealed. This is a fun show of self-depreciating humor yet it still maintains respect for women.
