Caption and photos by Andy Argyrakis From her time leading The Supremes to equally meteoric solo heights, Diana Ross has consistently shined as the leading lady of Motown. Though it's been ages since she recorded an album of new material, her legacy is so illustrious there are still plenty of reasons to celebrate on the road. During her first area appearance in four years, Miss Ross looked and sounded spectacular at 70-years-young, from the opening notes of "I'm Coming Out" through other everlasting oldies like "My World Is Empty Without You," enhanced all the more by an extensive backing troupe and brass section to punctuate the elegant evening. |
