Review: I think this letter about Corporate Avenger is a bunch of b/s. I don't think their music is a joke. The Lyrics in their music actually have a meaning. I'm guessing the person who wrote this column are probably the ty pe you have that perfect life; finacially I mean. By listening to the songs of Corporate Avenger you can tell they do now what they are talking about. They're letting the society know on what their opinion is about religion, and about how the Native Americans were screwed from everything that they had. Review: I was at the May 25th show and i loved it! Incubus is my favorite band and if its possible seeing them live made me love them more. We didn't have the greatest of seats but we could still see Brandon frolicking about on stage and the projections were awesomely sweet... It was awesome although the first act, Custom, sucked and should not ever sing again. Local H and Phantom Planet on the other hand rocked but not as hard as Incubus. This was my first concert and I can't wait until they come back to this sorry state but they can warm up our cold climate anytime they want!

People tend to think that if something is mainstream, there's this doublestandard that it has to be shite. But if you think about it, *if* you admit you flow down that path of thinking, you are making the masses as your enemy, and not what's importantly the real enemy: bad music. So, until people can see that they are nasty and fighting for good but confusedly for the wrong cause, let's think of why good music is good, and how we are all people, and when it comes down to it, it's more than just simply OK for "all those regular people" to be listening to decent music for a f*cking change, since it's become easily available and accessable. This is what music has been waiting for!, and what the wishes of people want in music/ for people, and in people for music. But with these things said, in regard to the review, i certainly hope not many really agree with the inference that pimples are actually cool. Cause if they're really cool, and all the faceless people of the world re! ally *will* be pathetic, no matter if they have some strokes cds.

Review: I was lucky enough to have a friend with an extra backstage pass, so not only did I get to meet and talk with Julian Casablancas of the Strokes, but I got up to the fourth row for Zwan (with a camera I snuck in) I have been in awe of Billy Corgan's talent for years and it was my first time ever seeing him let alone Zwan. I didn't know any of the songs, but every one of them blew me away. Zwan is definately a fantastic band, whatever Billy touches turns to gold, I can't wait for their album (which I heard is due out towards November)

Review: To: Tony Bonyata This is by far the most accurate account of a live performance that I have ever read. The only thing that bothered me was the Zwan/Pumpkins reference. I was sitting right behind you just before the Stroke's set and we exchanged a few words about Zwan but we never really finished our conversation. Maybe my judgement is clouded by my love for everything Pumpkins and Zwan but I think it's a little unfair to call them a "mellower pumpkins" as you said on Saturday. Sure it's hard to escape those kinds of comparisons with Billy Corgan still writing the tune's and belting them out with his distinct nasal whine. Throw in Jimmy Chamberlin and a female bassist and it's easy to write them off as the Pumpkins redux. Let's wait until they release an album before we try to put a label on them.
