At the Beastie Boys show in Madison,WI on 11/3/04, I had the best view in the hizouse, front and center on the floor. I was so close the Boys could've spit on me if they wanted, and I would've let them! It was my first time seeing them and I didn't know what to expect. Needless to say, I was blown away and just absolutely thrilled by their excellence. It was so cool that this guy with the video camera was going around before the show taping people. I was shown up on the big screen in front of thousands of people. Too bad everyone was screaming too loud to hear whatever trivial comments I had to make. PLEASE Steph, Birmingham, England 11/03/04 artist: Incubus Review: I saw incubus on the 11th May 2004 and i have to say it was the best gig i have ever experienced! It was fucking great! Upon arriving 5 hours before gates opened, rather underdressed for the cold the energy and good vibes were surging round the growing que and bursting out into the daylight. As our excitement was mounting by hearing Brand New warming up and then distant shrieks of 'pistola' it abruptly climaxed by the looming doors swinging open to reveal a warm and inviting arena. After queing patiently through 5 separate rooms the excitement was unbearable; we knew that we were close... only 15minutes til Brand new but there still wasn't a stage in sight. Eventually the irritating buggers of sercurity decidied to let us in, but only after making us que up to have our tickets taken off of us?!! Brand New hyped the crowd up nicely and let us waiting for what we knew was comin... 45 minutes later 5 shadows drifted incospicuosly on stage and blasted 'pistola' into the darkness! , illuminated by a mere backdrop of fairy lights- aww! A rather gorgeous californian quintet burst from darkness into light upon the chourus, this was followed by 'a crow left of the murder','idiot box' then by 'glass' which saw the whole of the first 4 or 5 rows hippy dancing and making mystical shapes with their hands. After a set that seemed to get better as it went on, ranging from old classics such as 'certain shade of green' and 'drive' to new and energetic 'megalomaniac' and just plain F-U-N-K-Y with the great 'anti-gravity'. I had the great advantage of being on the barrier, (albeit slightly too far right for my liking) and got possibly some of the gratest views of the gorgeous Brandon Boyd banging his bongos with style (take that as you please) and stripping off his rather fetching Iggy Pop Tshirt to reavel a even more fetching, bloody lovely body. Anyways, before we all faint, the show closed to a spectacular end with around 6,000 people mystic dancing and lighter swaying to 'are you in' I was very very pissed off that the incredibly pretty blonde girl (who just happened to have big boobs) next to me got a backstage pass (1 of 5) yet being that she was a very kind person took my setlist (which i managed to aquire of my own accord, thank you very much :)) and got it signed! All in all a fucking great night!!! Upon arriving 5 hours before gates opened, rather underdressed for the cold the energy and good vibes were surging round the growing que and bursting out into the daylight. As our excitement was mounting by hearing Brand New warming up and then distant shrieks of 'pistola' it abruptly climaxed by the looming doors swinging open to reveal a warm and inviting arena. After queing patiently through 5 separate rooms the excitement was unbearable; we knew that we were close... only 15minutes til Brand new but there still wasn't a stage in sight. Eventually the irritating buggers of sercurity decidied to let us in, but only after making us que up to have our tickets taken off of us?!! Brand New hyped the crowd up nicely and let us waiting for what we knew was comin... 45 minutes later 5 shadows drifted incospicuosly on stage and blasted 'pistola' into the darkness! , illuminated by a mere backdrop of fairy lights- aww! A rather gorgeous californian quintet burst from darkness into light upon the chourus, this was followed by 'a crow left of the murder','idiot box' then by 'glass' which saw the whole of the first 4 or 5 rows hippy dancing and making mystical shapes with their hands. After a set that seemed to get better as it went on, ranging from old classics such as 'certain shade of green' and 'drive' to new and energetic 'megalomaniac' and just plain F-U-N-K-Y with the great 'anti-gravity'. I had the great advantage of being on the barrier, (albeit slightly too far right for my liking) and got possibly some of the gratest views of the gorgeous Brandon Boyd banging his bongos with style (take that as you please) and stripping off his rather fetching Iggy Pop Tshirt to reavel a even more fetching, bloody lovely body. Anyways, before we all faint, the show closed to a spectacular end with around 6,000 people mystic dancing and lighter swaying to 'are you in' I was very very pissed off that the incredibly pretty blonde girl (who just happened to have big boobs) next to me got a backstage pass (1 of 5) yet being that she was a very kind person took my setlist (which i managed to aquire of my own accord, thank you very much :)) and got it signed! All in all a fucking great night!!!
