Photos and caption by Andy Argyrakis With every album in its influential alternative rock catalogue, Foo Fighters continue to settle into superstar status, as further evidenced by this summer's stadium-sized tour behind "Sonic Highways." A seated/casted but still enthralling Dave Grohl and company kicked off their Wrigley Field sell out with the trio of aggressive anthems "Everlong," "Monkey Wrench" and "Learn To Fly," lighting up the night with a towering wall of crunching guitars and bleacher-reaching production. Local legends Cheap Trick, Naked Raygun and Urge Overkill spanned multiple genres and generations as they knocked out one home run after the next, further making this rock n' roll marathon one to remember. |
