Prior to Kid Rock taking the stage, a video screen highlighted his entire life from birth to his upcoming 40th birthday, but by the time he took the stage, he may have well been a teenager all over again. With boundless energy and charisma, the Detroit native switched gears from rap, to rock, to some good old fashioned red neck country that tipped its hat to fellow Statesmen Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. Previous duet partner Sheryl Crow served as a fitting co-pilot, turning her focus towards retro Memphis sounds, alongside bits of the blues and plenty of sun-stroked pop to spice up the festivities.
