SxDx isn't a punk band and hasn't been since the Prisonbound album was reorded. But of course Mike NEVER was a punk, he has always been what we all called..."The Bastard Son Of Johnny Cash." I've known Mike since long before he had ANY of those tattoos he paid hard earned money for in a nice safe tattoo parlor far away from his hometown. Why a band is selling out these shows when it is the first to alienate the fans and even his own bandmates is beyond me and everyone else here in Fullerton. Do you realize that none of the other band members can even get near him for any reason? Or that he only pays them a measly pittance per week instead of a percentage of what the band makes?? Or how he owns nearly a whole city block in Newport Beach now, but whines about the hard times and such? You people need to wake up and really get a clue to this farce. He is NOTHING like the person he dreamt o! f being in his songs. He was too scared to do what we were out doing in those days when it was dangerous. But he sure loved to hear the stories, so he could write songs and tell the girls he did it. Don't believe me?? I had Mommy's Lil Monster tattooed across my neck in '78, and Sick Boy across my stomach in '79! Go figure out when those songs were recorded and so on. Needless to say, put him and his band where they belong, in the Rockabilly Has Beens. Dennis wrote every one of the songs they ever recorded. And as for the original members....Rikk Agnew, Casey Royer, Frank Agnew, and Carrot. Mike came along later after Casey went to Adolescents to drum for them, and then Rikk got offered the guitar spot in Adolescents, and that pretty much ended the original S.D. So as for the original members.....there are none playing in it any longer, and none of the originals would. Not with Mike. Mike should really let SxDx go in respect for Dennis. But he won't, he is just! after the money. And as long as people like you continue to ! pay the outrageous amounts to see a fake, he will continue to rip you all off. System of a Down seem to be one of the ONLY acts today who feel they acutally can, and WILL speak out about the decline of our nation, while everyone else is still messing around with love and their teenage dramas. If you think the lyrics are "cornball" maybe you just do not understand pure, raw insanity. Not everything has to make sence to mean something. If you want something that's easy to understand, go pop in a Good Charlotte record. As you said thier first album was realy good, but their second is no different, the lyrics are meaningfull, emotional and spiritual and the sound it great! They can play their instruments incredably and Jason's voice is amazing! These guys are AMAZING. Compared to so many other "nu metal" acts of today, SOAD's awesome guitar parts and totally driving riffs deserve alot of attention. Cornball lyrics you say? System of a Down seem to be one of the ONLY acts today who feel they acutally can, and WILL speak out about the decline of our nation, while everyone else is still messing around with love and their teenage dramas. If you think the lyrics are "cornball" maybe you just do not understand pure, raw insanity. Not everything has to make sence to mean something. If you want something that's easy to understand, go pop in a Good Charlotte record.
