Story and photos by Andy Argyrakis

For Tori Amos' latest album and tour, she's turned extra ambitious to pen a modern day song cycle inspired by ancient classical works. Of course, the singer/songwriter had no problem selling out the Chicago Theatre on her own star power, though rather than leaning on past commercial laurels, she showcased introspective material from the new Night of Hunters (Deutsche Grammophon), backed by the piano, a four piece string quartet and her stunningly gorgeous vocals.
