The recording and touring pace of The Allman Brothers Band may have dwindled considerably now that so many members are fully invested in solo careers, but whenever the group gets back together, the chemistry picks up right where it left off. In fact, the blues-doused southern rockers are so committed to their craft that no two set lists are ever the same, making each edition of a two night stand at the venerable Chicago Theatre a must see show for die-hards. And if opening night was any indication of what's to come during this intimate tour, expect plenty of extended jams on original treasures, alongside a slew of rootsy covers applied to the gang's dust kicking direction.
The Allman Brothers Band returns to the Chicago Theatre on Wednesday, August 21. For additional details, please visit www.thechicagotheatre.com.
