Even though the Red Hot Chili Peppers arrived at veteran status long ago, a recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame only solidified the group's status as major innovators in alternative rock. That trend continued at the Chicago area stop of a tour supporting last year's "I'm With You," during which the band packed plenty of funk-infused fury into a set list split between the past and present. For those who missed the explosive fusion this time around, there's always a headlining reprise at Summerfest in Milwaukee on Saturday, June 30, followed by Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday, August 4.
